1 〔浮かべる〕 ＝うかべる.

2 〔浮くようにする〕 (腰を) half rise to one's feet [from one's seat]; (模様などを) set sth off 《against a background》; set sth in relief.

●青地に黄色の小花を浮かしたスカーフ a scarf with small yellow flowers set against a blue background.
